Analyst / Associate / Principal – Athens (Life Sciences / Healthcare)

Olea Venture Partners is a healthcare and life sciences venture capital firm investing in early-stage companies across Europe and globally. The firm focuses on companies at the intersection of science, engineering, and clinical need, with emphasis on AI-enabled healthcare, medical devices, diagnostics, and tech-enabled care delivery. Olea combines deep operator experience with a global network across academia, industry, and capital.

You will join Olea’s investment analysis team, working alongside experienced healthcare and life sciences operators, investors, and entrepreneurs. We are looking for intellectually curious, highly driven individuals with strong analytical thinking, adaptability, and a genuine passion for healthcare innovation.

Role Overview

This role sits at the core of Olea Venture Partners’ investment activities. The successful candidate will contribute directly to due diligence, investment decision-making, and the development of a high-quality global pipeline across healthcare and life sciences. The role requires analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and the ability to evaluate technologies, markets, business models, regulatory pathways, and commercialization strategies. Candidates should be comfortable synthesizing complex information into clear, actionable investment perspectives.

The position offers direct exposure to founders, industry leaders, venture investors, academic institutions, and strategic partners across international healthcare ecosystems.

Core Responsibilities

Due Diligence & Investment Execution

• Conduct scientific, clinical, regulatory, market, competitive, and team assessments
• Develop investment memos, risk assessments, financial models, and scenario analyses
• Coordinate external experts and KOL interviews
• Support Investment Committee preparation and discussions
• Contribute to portfolio support initiatives where needed

Deal Sourcing & Ecosystem Development

• Identify and evaluate opportunities aligned with Olea’s focus areas
• Build relationships with founders, researchers, clinicians, and innovation ecosystems
• Monitor emerging healthcare and life sciences trends
• Represent Olea at conferences and ecosystem events
• Contribute to strategic briefs, market maps, and thought pieces

VC Operations & Strategic Initiatives

• Support portfolio strategy and portfolio company initiatives
• Contribute to fund reporting and investor communications
• Support ecosystem partnerships and internal knowledge development

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and a genuine interest in healthcare innovation and early-stage technology companies.

Relevant attributes include:

• Graduate degree in life sciences, medicine, bioengineering, healthcare, biotechnology, or related field preferred
• Experience in venture capital, startups, consulting, healthcare innovation, or technology commercialization is valued; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered for Analyst roles
• Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and structured thinking
• Ability to engage credibly with scientists, founders, clinicians, and institutional stakeholders
• Comfortable operating across scientific, clinical, commercial, and strategic topics in fast-moving environments
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and ownership mentality
